IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING…

A wedding planner is involved throughout more of the planning process, helping with elements such as vendor procurement, design, logistics, budgeting, and decision making. A coordinator typically steps in closer to the wedding day to organize the plans you have already made and ensure they are executed well. Navi offers varying levels of support so you can choose the experience that best fits how involved you want to be in the planning process.
What is the difference between a wedding coordinator and a wedding planner?
1
How do I know which package is right
for me?
2
You do not have to figure that out before reaching out! During your consultation, we will talk through what you have already planned, where you need support, your priorities, and how involved you would like Navi to be. We will recommend the level of service that genuinely fits your needs without adding unnecessary services that increase your investment.
Will I still have control over my wedding if I hire a planner?
3
Absolutely. This is your wedding, and our role is never to take that away from you. Some clients want to remain completely in the driver’s seat with professional guidance beside them, while others want us to take a much larger role behind the scenes. Our approach is individualized to give you the level of involvement and support that feels right for you.
Do you communicate directly with my vendors?
4
Yes! Vendor communication is an important part of creating a cohesive and well orchestrated wedding day. Depending on your package, we communicate with your vendor team throughout the planning and timeline development process to confirm logistics, answer questions, identify potential conflicts, and ensure everyone has the information they need to do their job effectively.
Do you handle set up and tear down?
5
Set up and tear down are included in select packages and can be discussed when choosing the level of service that best fits your wedding. If Navi is handling your decor, we create a detailed plan ahead of time so you are not spending your wedding morning answering questions about where candles, signage, place settings, or other details belong.
What happens if something goes wrong on our wedding day?
6
Preparing for the unexpected is a huge part of what we do. Long before your wedding day, we work to identify potential concerns, backup plans, important guest needs, family dynamics, vendor logistics, and other details that could affect your day. When something unexpected does happen, our goal is to handle it behind the scenes whenever possible so you can remain present and enjoy your wedding.
Yes! Navi Coordination is based in Indiana but happily travels for weddings. Travel allowances vary by package, and any additional travel needs will be discussed transparently before booking so there are no surprises later.

Do you travel for weddings?
When should we book our planner or coordinator?
8
As soon as you know you would like professional support, we recommend reaching out. Planning clients benefit from having us involved earlier in the process, while couples seeking coordination can reserve their date well before our formal coordination period begins. Wedding dates are booked on a first come basis, so reaching out early gives you the best opportunity to secure your date.
